Piedmont recovered a Cordova fumble in the first overtime to seal the 35-28 Bulldog win and the Class 3A state championship on Tuesday at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
Chase Childers, senior quarterback, exhibited outstanding leadership as he led the team in this incredible win and was named the game MVP. Chrisian Cantrell scored four touchdowns for the 35-28 win.
We are PROUD of Coach Steve Smith and our Piedmont High School Bulldogs for bringing home the 3A State Championship for the first time in school history!!! GO DOGS!!!
